Differences in Paper

There are other types of paper besides glossy.  For a unique look, try a matte.  Matte paper tends to work with all types of printers, it is not likely to smudge, it is archival, and Hawk Mountain makes all types for different budgets.  We even have double sided papers so you get twice the paper for your money!  Call a Representative today at 866-526-5642.

"Autumn Leaves" by Tom Beach

Welcome!

Welcome to our introductory issue of the Digital Scrapbook Printing newsletter from Hawk Mountain Papers! This monthly newsletter will include interviews, tips, sales, or anything else related to printing your digital scrapbook pages with your inkjet printer.

Meet Tom

I have had the pleasure of working with Tom Beach for a few months now and thought he would be the perfect person to interview for our maiden voyage of the Digital Scrapbook Printing Newsletter.

Tom volunteers at his local library by designing dust jackets for books.  He also prints his fine art work up to 13"x19" and has also been printing his own pictures and scrapbook pages 8.5"x11" for a while.  He just started printing on 12"x12" Merlin Bright White from Hawk Mountain Paper on his Epson 2200, all found here: http://www.digitalscrapbookpaper.com/

Tom adheres to the KISS philisophy when it comes to designing.  He designes his own pages rather than using kits by using CorelDraw!, PhotoPaint, and Adobe PhotoShop, "A good image editor is a MUST".  He has also used the AutoFX Photo/Graphic Edges Tool.

When I asked Tom if he had any advice to budding digiscrappers, he said, "Many people seem to believe that images must be 4x6.  Not True! Make them bigger, smaller, crop to different aspect ratios. Use creative edges".

Well said Tom!  You can see more of Tom's work by visiting http://www.photosbytom.net.  All I can say is WOW!
